BEND—Farewell Bend, (the name was later shortened to "Bend" by a U.S. Postmaster who considered the name too long) lies in the shadow of towering peaks of the Cascade Mountains along the western border of Central Oregon's high desert plateau.

With its dramatic terrain and moderate climate, Bend is a recreation paradise. Enjoy fishing and rafting the Deschutes River; ski or snowboard the glaciers of internationally renowned Mt. Bachelor; golf on world-class courses; hike and explore miles of scenic trails.

Exploring Bend's quaint Downtown and Old Mill District with its myriad of specialty shops and quality restaurants will be a highlight of your visit.

SISTERS—Located in western Deschutes County, just east of the Cascade Mountains, Sisters is known as the Gateway to the Cascades. Sisters' 1880's theme downtown has the authentic look and feel of the Wild West, and is a delightful place to shop with its many specialty stores and galleries.

With rodeos, mountain climbing, fly-fishing, camping, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, rafting, skiing or snowmobiling, having fun has never been so accessible and exciting. Sisters, is the annual site of the PRCA sanctioned Sisters Rodeo. Fly fishermen will enjoy fishing on the Metolius River. Hiking in the Three Sisters Wilderness Area is a scenic marvel. Here, golfers will find some of the best golfing in Oregon, surrounded by outstanding views of Black Butte and the Cascades.

SUNRIVER—Sunriver defines resort living and playing. With two 18-hole golf courses, 29 tennis courts, 33 miles of paved bike paths, two swimming pools, stables, an ice rink/mini-golf course, marina, nature center, white water rafting, canoes, a private membership racquet club, and Nordic and Alpine skiing nearby, there is something for everyone. The Sunriver Village includes shops, galleries and eateries guaranteed not to disappoint even the most discerning tastes.
