Welcome to Lynchburg, a vibrant and charming community located in the eastern foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and along the banks of the James River. Lynchburg is known as the "City of Seven Hills" or "The Hill City."

The Lynchburg area is rich in American history. Thomas Jefferson had a home here that is now open to the public. Lynchburg was the only major city in Virginia that did not fall to the Union Army during the Civil War. The civil war ended in Appomattox which is only 18 miles from Lynchburg where you can visit the National Park and also the new Museum of the Confederacy.

For recreation lovers we have year round snowboarding and skiing at the Liberty Snowflex Centre, tubing down the James River, and miles of hiking trails. Yes, Lynchburg is the perfect spot to nestle down for a few extra days and see all central Virginia has to offer..
