Start with the famous lighthouses of Door County. The Lighthouse Walk, celebrating the ten lighthouses that dot the peninsula, is held in May. This annual event gives visitors an ideal opportunity to study the signature draw of Door County. Visitors have many chances to learn about the rich art and history legacies of Door County by exploring more than 80 galleries, museums, and theater and musical venues. Festivals and concerts take place year-round, and fruit harvests add to the joy of the senses that bring visitors back regularly to this bucolic oasis.

Door County Maritime Museum 120 N Madison Ave, Sturgeon Bay—Discover Sturgeon Bay's rich shipbuilding history, learn more about Door County's 10 lighthouses. Take the wheel, sound the horn in a real pilot house. All at the Museum's Sturgeon Bay location. Call for hours.
