Richmond Parks and Rec
Home to more than 57 parks and open spaces, 138 tennis courts, 60 playgrounds, 56 ball diamonds, numerous tot lots, picnic areas, exercise trails, and much more. The department also takes care of more than 22 statues and monuments and seven cemeteries, and operates 24 community centers.

River District Canal Cruises
139 Virginia St—Enjoy a narrated canal boat tour or private charter of the James River and Kanawha Canal. Tours depart on the hour from the Turning Basin, between 14th and Dock Streets in downtown Richmond's River District. Seasonal and weather dependent. Call for hours of operation or visit Web site.
