Located just 28 miles south of Sandpoint, these theme parks will thrill your kids with the biggest and fastest wooden roller coaster in the Northwest. Arts and culture aficionados will want to attend the Festival at Sandpoint held in early August under the stars at Memorial Field. Take a Lake Pend Oreille cruise and learn about the rich local history and geology while enjoying spectacular scenery. Day or night, Sandpoint offers your whole family myriad opportunities to have a great time.

All of you avid recreational travelers will be quite impressed with the depth of outdoor adventures Sandpoint offers. Start with Schweitzer Mountain Resort that offers excellent skiing and snowboarding until well into April. You can choose from 69 ski runs and four double chairlifts. Sticking with the winter theme, try ice skating at Sand Creek below the Cedar Street Bridge downtown, or at City Beach near the mouth of Sand Creek. If you prefer a summer vacation, hit the links at the famed Priest Lake 18-hole golf course nestled between lush forests and wetlands.
